Kate is a Certified Practicing Counsellor with PACFA. She has several qualifications including: a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Grad Dip in Counselling. AGrad Dip in Secondary Education and a B.A. in Social Welfare.

Kate has worked in various roles in the social welfare, education, disability and therapy fields for the past 30 years. She has recently obtained her professional certificate in pet and animal loss and bereavement for all ages.

Kate also specialises in general individual and group counselling and therapy for adults 17+. Her interests and training include all forms of pet and animal grief and loss. Trauma recovery, emotional and mental health and wellbeing, disability, life transitions and coaching.

Kate is an experienced pet parent and counsellor; and has also been a guide dog handler. Currently Charlie the canary has joined her family. On her occasional time off, Kate enjoys several creative hobbies including writing and baking. She loves to spend time in nature, and to catch up with friends and family.

Kate has her own private practice providing telehealth and workshops and is currently updating her website. Kate is an enthusiastic member of the Phoenix Wings Wellness team and keen to work with you by personalising a range of evidence informed therapies to suit your counselling needs.
