We are coming out of the closet… literally. The team at Phoenix have been running this small group program for young people that identify as LGBTIAQ+ for over nine months due to a gap in what we’ve seen locally, and what some of our clients have requested. Now we are at the stage where we are ready to invite non-clients to join in on our small social group, with the hope that we can continue to create a safe place within our community for our queer young people. Aimed at 16 years to 25 years, with the hope to split the group to 16-20 year olds and 20-25 year olds in the next few months, we invite you to fill out the form below with your details if you are interested in attending. Jules will be in contact to arrange an in person catch up to see if we are the right fit for you.

Some of the activities we have done previously include games and trivia nights, movie night, roller skating, and even the escape room, and are always looking for new ideas!

Every second Friday during NSW school term, 4pm-6pm at Phoenix Wing Wellness Albury, with an occasional outing, from the 31st January.

Cost: $30 per session. Both NDIS and non-NDIS participants welcome.

Phoenix Creative - Self-Love

Attending an art therapy workshop focused on self-love offers a unique opportunity to engage in personal healing and growth through creative expression. Many individuals struggle with self-worth and often carry internalized negative beliefs that can affect their mental and emotional well-being. Art therapy allows participants to explore and express these feelings in a safe space, offering a powerful way to release pent-up emotions and develop a healthier relationship with oneself. The act of creating art provides a sense of agency and empowerment, helping people reconnect with their inner selves and challenge limiting beliefs about their value. It encourages self-compassion and provides tangible, visual reminders of one’s personal journey toward healing.

On Friday, 21st February (7pm-9pm), Phoenix Wings Wellness is offering an evening of creative expression for anyone who would like to practice self-love.

Investment: $40 per person, includes art materials, and a handout. Please bring your own snacks. Purchase your ticket below.

Rise 2025 - Vision Board Workshop

Participating in a vision board workshop can be a transformative and empowering experience, offering individuals a unique opportunity to clarify their goals, aspirations, and dreams. In the dynamic and interactive setting of a workshop, participants engage in a creative process that goes beyond traditional goal-setting methods. Crafting a vision board involves selecting images, words, and symbols that resonate with one's desires and values, fostering a deep connection to personal aspirations. The visual representation serves as a powerful tool for manifestation, aligning the conscious and subconscious mind towards a common purpose.

Ultimately, a vision board workshop serves as a catalyst for self-discovery, goal clarification, and positive mindset development. By investing time in this creative and introspective practice, individuals can gain a clearer sense of purpose, increase their focus on goals, and cultivate the motivation needed to turn their dreams into reality.

We spend the first hour diving into your goals for 2025, discussing and sharing ideas in our group, before beginning to search for images and representations using words and colours to add to your creation. We encourage you to bring photos and images you may have already thought of.

For ages 14 and up.

All materials provided, BYO food and drink.

Phoenix Creative - Rage Writing - Albury

Phoenix Creative - Rage Writing - Albury

Rage writing can be a powerful outlet for expressing anger, offering numerous benefits beyond simply venting emotions. When channeled into writing, anger transforms into a creative force that allows individuals to explore and understand their emotions more deeply. This process often leads to a sense of catharsis and emotional release, as pent-up feelings find a constructive outlet. Moreover, creative writing encourages introspection and self-reflection, promoting personal growth and resilience in managing intense emotions.

Creative writing fosters empathy and connection. By articulating anger through letters, stories or poems, writers can connect with others who may have experienced similar emotions, creating a sense of solidarity and understanding. This shared experience can be therapeutic, validating one's feelings and reducing feelings of isolation. Furthermore, the creative process itself promotes mindfulness and relaxation, offering a meditative escape from the intensity of anger. Ultimately, creative writing not only helps individuals manage their emotions effectively but also cultivates empathy, resilience, and a deeper connection to oneself and others.

On Wednesday 15th January (6.30-8.30), Phoenix Wings Wellness is offering an evening of creative expression for anyone who would like to learn how to channel their anger and frustration into writing.

Investment: $40 per person. Purchase your ticket below.
